Rocket Music Player

Although everyone device now comes with a music player, this really is a great alternative. It gets you right to the music on your device, and has some really nice quality of life features, such as the slider to jump to a part of a song (it doesn't go all the way to the edge of the phone, so you don't have to worry about your case or anything else getting in the way, and also prevents accidental taps that might skip or reset a song). It appears in an overlay when the phone is locked and works there as expected, and supports playlists and all the usual things. Even little things like using the "average" color of the album cover to determine the color used for the controls is a nice touch. It works natively with their iSyncr app, which I use to interact with iTunes on Windows. I was skeptical at first but it's been a great app to use, and after a week I went premium.

Rock on Rocket Player! This my ship right here. I have been using this app since back in the day 2014. Despite me changing phones, I still use this as my go to mp3 player on my phone. And yes, I paid the no ads fee each and every time when I had a new phone. I will support these people till the end when I pass away. This mp3 player app is really that good! And it's colorful too, the themes really make it shine compared to other music players. A lot of features, they add new ones often! Best app!

Great sound quality and a great variety of settings and themes to personalize it the way I like it. I like how I can export and save my playlists as well as being able to set up my own live playlists and set the rules to make them the way I want them. Above all is the sound quality though because I didn't realize how big of a difference there is between the different music players available and this one stood out above the rest after downloading at least 6 prior to finding this one. Been using this as my main music app for several years and I can't fault it. End of. The main things I like about it is that 1, it has a dedicated podcast tab that remembers where you've listened up to so when you go back to it you can pick up where you left it and... 2, it can list your albums in the order you uploaded them which I like immensely. They seem to have fixed the crashing issues that it had been suffering from recently so fingers crossed it's once again my favourite music app. 😎

This is a fantastic music player. I don't need all the fancy bells and whistles like an equalizer, I just want to play my music. A player must: let me play a single track and stop, let me start playing an entire album while looking at the list of tracks in it, show me how long each track is, and play the tracks in file order (I number them). Rocket Music Player is the only one I've found that meets all my criteria. I'll be purchasing the premium version to support the developer. Great job!

I used and loved Rocket Player/Unlocker for 6-8 years. The interface and adjustability are intuitive and comprehensive. I wrote to the developers with an issue and they were prompt and responsive. I wasn't able to resolve my problem, though, which seemed due the large number (12,000) of mp3's on my phone. We couldn't fix the issue so I switched to jetaudio+; this solved the issue and has been working well for 6 months. I like Rocket better, and recommend it for normal-sized mp3 libraries.
